Ever since the beginning, years ago, the delivery of valves and related equipment to the process and shipping industry has been the company's most important business area. Today, the fourth generation, Tobias Cock has taken over the role as general manager after completing education and international job experience in related industries. Cock is one of Norway's leading suppliers of valves, instrumentation and complete process solutions to the following industries: shipyard, offshore, petrochemical, food, pharma, water treatment, smelting, hydropower, paper and wood processing. More recently, J. Cock has become a major supplier of valves and filter systems to Norway's fish farming industry. We also design and develop our own valves, which are being produced by a supplier and marketed under the trademark JSC. Cock markets its own line of high-quality industrial coatings under the trademark Power Coat.

At that time, the company sold valves and related equipment along with producing its own lubricating oil. In , years after JS Cock was established, the company had 24 employees that were dispersed throughout the main office in Oslo and branch offices in Arendal, Bergen and Stavanger. His work experience includes having worked at different TYCO Valve companies abroad, and for the last three years, he has had the responsibility of being the production-planning manager at Siemens in England. It is also the exclusive importer of Graco spraying equipment into Norway.
